Windows 10 Continuous Popup From Right
Hi there
Those notifications are actually from Google Chrome, not in Windows. You would have to go into Google Chrome, in the top right corner where you see the three vertical dots, click that and chooseSettings >Show Advance Settings > under "Privacy" click Content Settings > scroll down to see "Notifications" and clickManage Exceptions > here you can choose what notifications pops up. Looks like you have notifications from howtogeek.com, just look for it in the menu and block it. Additionally, if you just want to disable all of it, under "Notifications" just choose "Do not allow any site to show notifications" and clickDone.
Let us know if this works.
Cheers

Cyrs, thanks for the answer. However, it doesn't work. I have already marked the "Do not allow on the chrome browser to no avail. Those popups are always from the how-to geek site and appear also when I'm working in Word 2016 and also on Explorer. They are all over the place. It's really frustrating.

Hi
Let's try something else here, open upExtensions in your google chrome. Can you list out all the extensions you have in there. Sometimes there are some odd extensions that might look harmless but you can pick these up just by browsing around and they cause bugs such as this.
Let me know what you have.
Cheers

Thanks much for continuing to help, Cyrs. For now (I fear it could come back and haunt me any second) what seemed to work was uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it (not the Beta). So far, so good. If however, things go awry, I will try your suggestion. Thanks again,

Awesome to hear that your issue was resolved. What you can do is try out CCleaner just to clean up your PC of any unused or unwanted files that are lingering around. This is just an extra step to make sure that you're eliminating any possibilities of the problem coming back. I've found this especially helpful to clean up after web browser's caches. Note that this will remove any saved username and/or passwords that you have in your browser.
Hope everything is smooth from now on!
Cheers
